TouchPoint2 Architecture

TouchPoint2 Version 3 is Zarion’s third generation of Business Process Management software products. Benefiting from over 10 years of Business Process Management implementation experience, TouchPoint2 Version 3 consists of a series of pre-packaged modules that provide out of the box business functionality. Using the power of the TouchPoint2 modules, enterprises can achieve rapid implementation of functionally-rich, sophisticated Business Process Management solutions with reduced risk and with lower costs of implementation and lower ongoing support and maintenance overheads. TouchPoint2 Version 3 has been architected from the ground up to be robust, scalable and flexible. Its modular architecture allows deployment of selected modules to address specific business requirements, or the entire suite to provide a full range of Business Process Management functionality.

The TouchPoint2 modules can be considered in four categories:

The Participant modules are designed for people working within the Business Process Management environment. These modules provide highly efficient user interfaces.  As a user accesses each piece of work to be done, the user interface provides them with easy access to all the information that is needed to complete the task.  The Process Participant modules allow each piece of work to be handled as efficiently as possible at each stage in the process.

The Partner modules have been developed to allow your key business partners participate in your business processes. These modules provide your business partners with the means to submit information directly into your business – be this via email, telephone, fax, paper or the web. The Process Partner modules enable the provision of a consistent level of service regardless of the means of communication.

The Manager modules enable pro-active management and tracking of the entire workload.  These modules will allow you to ensure that work is distributed in the most efficient manner possible and to track the outcome and quality of the work that is carried out, from overview reports right down to the individual steps carried out for each case.  The Process Manager modules allow you to ensure that work is carried out with consistent levels of efficiency and quality.


The Utility modules provide a set of standard capabilities that are required in any document-intensive business process. These utilities are used by the other modules to allow them to deliver their functionality.  In addition, this set of modules includes a common functionality such as a monitoring and alert capability, a browser based administration tool for configuration and a number of housekeeping routines.  The Process Utility modules provide the framework that allows the whole system to be stable, robust and easily configured, monitored and managed.
